My adopted sister,
You mean so much to me.
There’s a place in my heart
Where only you can be.
My heart—very tender—
And appreciative, too
Of all the joy given
To others touched by you.
It is only fitting,
And I know that it’s true,
The career that you have—
Made exactly for you.
You have so much to give,
And giving, that you do!
Love, giving and healing
Will all describe you, too.
I want to say thank you,
And it comes with a tear,
For being in my life—
Just making my heart clear.
