Christmas in Drumming
by Cheryl J. Howell
Dec. 10, 2012
Light fluffy snow falling on trees
Begins to settle there below,
Animals sense the excitement—
Something is taking place, you know!
One little drummer beats a drum.
Small animals there in the wood
Stop in their tracks to listen close—
Is the drum drumming something good?
There's snow on the holly berries,
A beautiful sight to behold.
This little drum tells of the birth
Of the Christ child once born of old.
Drum! Drum! — Christmas time is coming,
There is a sweet song in the air!
All of creation joins the song,
Praise for Him is felt everywhere.
Have you felt the sweet love of God—
Christmas is drumming, do you hear?
All of creation sings His song,
Tell me, do you hear what I hear?
