Mystery Lady at Don's Drive Thru

Dec. 16, 2012
Clomping to the drive-up window
Her horse knows just where to stop.
Welcome to Don’s! Your order please.
No hesitation on her part,
Her order always is the same—
Plain chicken sandwich—hold the bun.
Would you care for some fries with that?
No, but I’ll have some dessert now—
I’ll have white bread and coffee black.
Anything else for you today?
No, this is all my tummy likes!
Tomorrow I will have the same.
Another day in paradise,
She takes her lunch and turns away.
Mounted on her seeing-eye horse,
She heads down that well-worn trail home.
One more day at Don’s Drive Thru—
The mystery lady rides again.
