Kissed With Frost

When the last sweet rosebud of summer
Feels cool temperatures start to fall low
After a chilled night in the moonlight
Met by cold kisses of frost below.

Capture the moment while you still can
Take picture and store it away
Or paint a portrait there in your heart
And enjoy it yet another day.

Reflected there on your mind’s canvas
The live rose remains fresh and so sweet
The kiss of frost looks more like the dew
The rose scent tucked away is complete.
